It is never a happy or easy situation when the miracle of birth becomes threatening for
whatever reason.  The loss of the momma, stress or extreme cold - there can be so many
reasons why a foal needs to be bottle fed.

Here at the Forge we had just such an event and were not completely prepared except for the
bottle and a lambs nipple - for the unfortunate event that caused our little Skye to need to be
bottle fed.

After that event - we were lucky enough to have found information on an igloo mama - and we
want to share that with you all.  We have put together an emergency kit - that has all of the
pieces - so you can easily construct an igloo mama of your own.
